'LG Velvet' is speeding up its efforts to enter global smartphone markets by release Velvet in North American markets following Europe.
According to LG Electronics, the official release date of LG Velvet in Canada is August 7th. It is a 5G model and main color will be Aurora Grey and Illusion Sunset. The detailed price is under final adjustment.
In addition to Europe and North America, LG is planning to release 'LG Velvet' in major markets such as Latin America and Asia. 4G model will also be prepared for the regions where 5G network is not properly established, such as Latin America and India.
LG Electronics is going to carry out customized marketing for each country as its strategy for overseas expansion of Velvet.
The company has decided to add three colors, Aurora Silver, New Black, and Pink White, to the existing seven colors(aurora white, aurora gray, aurora green, illusion sunset, aurora blue, aurora red, and aurora pink), and to release velvet in consideration of consumer preference in each country.
Additionally, LG says the Velvet 5G is now up for pre-order on the LG Canada store. Early birds will receive a $200 Visa gift card and a pair of LG Tone Free wireless earbuds for free.
